As a respected Special Purpose Vehicle Axle manufacturing company we are ready made to provide first class axle design services to our customers.

FPW Axles CAD design and draughting office, based in Accrington, Lancashire, houses the latest in Computer Aided Design software. This comprises a mix of 3D solid modelling, Finite Element AnalysisAnimation and Simulation Engineering software, allowing FPW axles a design resource of over 200 man hours per week.

 FPW has a policy of providing staff with the latest CAD design technology the company's management team has key objectives in continually investing in the latest CAD software and engineering design staff. Many of the design engineers employed are long serving and made to feel part of our success, which reflects in the confidence our clients have in us and our products.

Finite Element Analysis

We have years of experience using FEA to optimise and verify our axle designs, and when requested the designs of our customers. We can help identify and calculate load scenarios and conduct analysis of the design to ensure it meets the project's requirements in full. One key advantage you will gain from FPW's FEA analysis is that we can interpret the results and provide advice to overcome the issues identified with the customers axle design.

We can support in prototyping axle designs and supporting in all elements of axle testing.

FPW Axles utilise the FEA tools within Solidworks the mechanical simulation package provides FPW;s design engineers with the simulation tools to conceptualise, design and validate their designs. The FEA tools enables real time, static structural, thermal, dynamic, weight optimisation, vibration mode and safety factor simulations to be performed on mechanical designs.
